We're always seeking bakers to join our network. We'd also welcome anyone who can support with operations, promotions, fundraising, or other ideas you have to support Free Cakes for Kids Lewisham and Crystal Palace.
How volunteer baking works

Sign up
Complete the volunteer sign-up form, telling us a bit about your baking experience and availability.

Join the group
Once we've checked your application you'll be welcomed into our WhatsApp group and email group, and receive additional ideas and support for your first bake.

Get matched
Cake requests will come through on email and WhatsApp. You pick any you can do and sign up. Each cake request will have a time, date and location, and often a brief on the bake.

Sign up approved
You will get an email with a calendar invite to your cake delivery date and time.

Bake!
Cakes should be at least 8 inches and two layers, unless otherwise specified. Adhere to our food hygiene expectations.

Deliver
Take your cake to the designated delivery point in a food-safe box, with a description of the cake and any allergens written on the box.

Share a photo
Send us a photo by email so we can confirm the bake and thank you, and post into our WhatsApp group so everyone can see ideas for their own bakes.
